*Update* Chickens Might Have Wet Fowl Pox

Be careful--I read at least a couple places a strong warning that chickens shouldn't be vaccinated if already showing symptoms.

I haven't seen any cautions against giving to exposed chickens who aren't showing disease. Maybe the vaccine is okay for an infected bird as long as the disease hasn't moved into their system extensively.

Yes, it was very hard on me to do that. Having a full time job and leaving out at 7am every morning and getting home at 5:30am and having to care for 300+ animals every day, made it almost impossible. I'm not sure if I can do it again.

My goodness!!! That must have been so, so incredibly hard! You really love your animals, it is obvious, & do some amazing sacrifices for them!

I fought with wet pox for about 6 weeks with my turkeys and I have NO idea how all of them survived but they did.

I know you wrote this in 2012, but I just want you to know that this makes you my hero
