We are on weeks 3 and 4 here what a blast these little bundles are.

Just a few pics to share.

Noticed today the Fern the starlight green has a top tuft I have seen others post about this spring. She is so sweet and curious she hops up on me and runs to the door when I open it.

Easter eggers are also very sweet so far doing the same.

I need to add a dust bath area maybe they are burrowing in the shavings then others come up and peck the bits off them. They just lay there and let them.

Seems Iike the PBB the largest one is the biggest issue right now. I am trying to manage her moodiness she is pretty bossy. I was more worried about the white leghorns at first arrival based on what I had read online but they are docile so far and just wonderful to others.

I have one MMM that is still very small with a fuzzy butt still. Watching that one just not growing as fast as others.

:clap Yay! I'm so glad that your chicks are thriving :hugs They're so cute!

Awe they are so cute🐥😊. I have 6 Easter eggers the same age their hatch date was 4/11. I like the toys in your brooder. Are those reg. Bird toys? I saw somewhere where the person hung up a child’s xylophone and her chicks peck on it. I have 8 more outside n a look but not touch set up.
The way you have used a mirror and other items to give them something to do has gave me some ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! our hatch date was 4.11 also!

We have 4 of those mirrors in there they love to peck them and look at themselves. Dollar store.

Yes bird toys from petco have a few hanging from the roof down on long strings and we pull them they swing way out and back. I didn’t get the ones that said edible.

Also have sparkly jewels tossed town on the paper area. They love to peck those as well.

2 hideaway boxes I cut out of soda and beer boxes. They love to jump up on them and it gives them cover when needed. They like to run thru the inside.

The more to do the better so they don’t turn to each other And start bad habits, 👍
