Hey Y'all, Sister, my EE who had half her vent torn off my a dog has recovered and laid her first egg this morning! She must have several 'in the chute' 'cause she laid another one this evening
The repair on her vent doesn't look perfect but she didn't have any trouble passing the eggs, which was my main worry. I still don't like it that she oozes urates. It leaves her bum messy, but doesn't seem to irritate the skin and does seem to be getting better.
It's going to be 60 degrees tomorrow so I'm going to let her and Polish range together to get reaquainted. Wish us luck!
