Does anyone know what this may be or what may have caused it. I have noticed it getting larger and larger in the last few days. It has only been there for about a week now. It started out as what looked like maybe a peck spot from another chicken then it got to the size of an uncooked grain of rice and now it is about pea sized... within a week it has grown that big. I have touched it and it feels hard... not puss filled or anything. what are your thoughts? The chicken is about 12 weeks old give or take a week or 2

it is not on the eye or in the eye it is on her lower lid she has no inflammation at all she is eating and acting normal and healthy. after looking up eye worm I am sure it is not that.

Ok so today I was inspecting her growth and noticed it was a little lifted on one spot and I could see under it and it looked like a pit under it. I gently touched it and it fell right off. it seems to have been maybe a cyst or something. strange. I hope the pit closes up...

Looks like just a little knot of infection that has now worked it's way out. I would rinse the eye with just a bit of warm water & put a tiny dab of neosporin on the spot just to help it heal up faster.

It went away on its own. It was like a infected spot or something. The white blood cells gathered to attack the infection and caused the small mass and as his skin healed the skin under the mass healed and grew new skin and then the mass just fell off. It never bothers the rooster at all. He acted like he didn't Ben know it was there

And I say him and rooster now because at the time of the growth I thought he was a she Shortly after this he proved to be a rooster lol
