Just wanted to update y'all on my little menace. Seems the raging hormones have calmed down and he's learning to be a gentleman. FINALLY!!!!!
Our duck populaton has grown leaps and bounds lately, what with the rescued pekins and runners and the younger ones growing up and going outside to join the flock and suddenly he's BEING GOOD. He hangs with the Appleyards and Pekins mostly , just doing normal drake stuff. ( I think he's fallen in love with the fattest Appleyard female
) He visits his buddy Gerry, the muscovy drake he was brooded with and all his wives. He doesn't attack everything that moves, or try to jump on and mate with every female that walks by and is even back in the duck house with everybody else. Let's hope this lasts awhile.
I'm glad now that I stayed patient, didn't give up and find a home for him or *gasp* put him in the stew pot.
