Update in sick chicken. WARNING: POOP PHOTO

What is chick medicated? I have a hen that’s been in quarantine since the second week of May with a slew of problems, but now her poops are looking like OP’s hen. All of my hens (same age) except this one started laying 5 weeks ago. I’ve started a few forums during this journey, but I don’t get responses.

we feed poultry perfect golden yolk, but she’s not eating much of it. We have chick starter crumble… is that the same as chick medicated? I’m desperate for my girl to thrive and just want her to be healthy enough to be with her friends again. 😢
Sorry I meant medicated chicks feed. I hope she gets better. I am not a vet so I just help when I can.

Well look what a surprise I had today! She is actually dust bathing! 💙🐔 Also saw her drink from the big puddle in our yard, she ate some blueberries, some leftover rice, and some grubs. Her poops are still a bit watery but I think that’s because she’s drinking a lot right now and I’m giving her antibiotics. Again sleeping on the top roost. She was preening ever since she was sick, so in my opinion I think she is doing way better. Also, her bumblefoot has gotten way better!! So thank you guys for helping my little girl! ❤️🐔🥰

I’m so glad!

I leave the food outside in the run, not inside the coop, but why take away the food at night. They are sleeping and do not eat at night??????
We don’t have good ventilation in our coop, we are working on a screen door.. but in the meantime we leave it open so they come out in the morning and eat.

Is this poop better? Lol it’s a bit smushed but I saw her so I’m 100% sure it’s hers. It looks way better right?

It looks better to me! I have a hen that was having the same type of poops. Still trying to get her to gain weight, but her poops are looking better (like yours!). It looks like her digestive system is working instead of passing mostly bile.

When did you last deworm her?

Yeah she’s still pretty skinny, so I make sure to sit out there and make sure she eats. Maybe give her some mealworms. I saw her trying to peck at the oyster shells yesterday! That’s something she hasn’t done since she was sick! Thanks for your help! 😄
