Got back from the vet a few hours ago.....his x-rays show some minor damage to the bone and he has an infection in the joint . Doc gave me some new antibiotics....can't remember what it's called but it's supposed to be designed for clearing up joint infections . Supposed to keep it wet bandaged with special dressings that don't allow bacteria to grow . Vet said it could go either way.....it'll take a couple of weeks if not a month to be able to tell .

On a side note ( my day just keeps getting better ) after unloading my horse we were taking the horse trailer up on the hill and I ran over my dog . He's not quite a year old.....both sets of tires ran over him . He's now been laying there for 2 hours...breathing is a little rough . My husband doesn't want to take him to the vet . Hopefully he'll pull through the night . We did leave a message on our friends cell phone , she is our small animal vet..hopefully she'll call soon . Why does all of this keep happening ? There's no smilie that shows curling up into a little ball and crying but that's exactly how I feel .

So glad that he has hope and you arrived there and back safe. Hopefully your dog will do Ok. My girlfriend's husband just did it to their dog last month and although in pain he never had any damage. Can't see how as it was a big F250.

I know how the day is going and feeling like crying. I just got in from dealing with putting down one of our horses. Broken leg. Just makes me so sick and upset.

Wow, what a day. Hope your horse gets better and the pup pulls through. Our old crazy Lucy got hit by a big truck and she was a mess all night until I could get her to the vet, but she is fine now, and two wheels ran over her. Crushed her hip but you would never know, she really IS Crazy Lucy. If I could figure out how to post pics on here (I admit it, I am a little slow) I would show you how she burned her mouth trying to put out fireworks. Name suits her. Good luck with your babies, I know this is so hard . . .let's think good thoughts and hope the new antiobiotic does the trick!!!
