Well, had to separate the chick and duck I had combined a few days ago. WHoever posted it would be hard to keep the chick dry was very right. Pekins are very big even at a few days old and were just too much for the chicky. She was soaked just from trying to snuggle up w/the ducks. If I had a bigger brooder for them it may have worked a tiny bit better, I now have 4 brooders going on (one of which is more of large make shift coop) and am contemplating should I go get lone chicky "angel" a friend or should I wait a week till my jersey giants hatch. I feel bad for her being alone for the week. I love the post that read someone keeps trying to tell her husband the chicks appear like magic...I wonder if I can pass that one by my husband
