Hello everyone! Well some of you already know a few weeks ago I was on here desperate for answers as to what was wrong with my little "moonlight". With the help of you all I figured out she has crookneck. I just wanted to post some postive news. Dont we all need some of that in our lives. My sick little "moonlight" is doing fantastic. She is happy, healthy and enjoying life. Though we arent fully recovered we are improving everyday. I actually have been letting her go outside and play with her brother and sisters out in there new "condo" we finished over the weekend. She loves to go and peck at the dirt and bask in the beautiful warm california sunshine. Matter of a fact she is hoping/flying out of her sick box thats in the garage wanting to go outside. Its been a long 2 1/2 weeks but I am sure glad the time and love I have invested in my chicky is paying off! Matter of a fact I think she thinks Im her mommy. LOL!! When she hears me call her name she will come running to me. Its so awesome! I love my little moonlight and my 10 other chicks too! Will continue to keep you updated.

It is always good to hear good news. What treatment did you provide that yielded such great results? Congratulations.

I used the directions form another here on byc.com There name is dhlunicorn. If you scroll through these responses you will see there name. They have a link on there page called "dragonflies and dandilions" There they have info for botulism and crookneck. I followed the treatment info there and have been very successful. Everyday is a huge improvement. Thoough I do have to warn you the first week was like having a newborn baby. It was rough getting up through the night making her drink water and eat every 1.5 hours but worth it. Hope this helps you. Good luck in the future!
