Ok, Nugget's been on antibiotics for three days now. She's been kept in the kitchen since then, and she seems to be improving.
Not knowing how a chicken's belly is supposed to feel, I compared her with another chicken but Nugget's belly still feels full of liquid.
I still don't feel any egg. All our vets are out again today.
She's much more alert and vocal today. I would like to put her outside (30+ degrees out there). Is this prudent? Is keeping her in any benefit to her? I'd really like my kitchen back
If I have to, I might try that syringe method of extracting the fluid. NOT what I'm looking forward to. And I wanted to be a vet when I was a kid?
