Finally getting close to finished
Enjoy the Pictures!
Pictures were worth a thousand words when I was thinking this thing through so I tried to take a bunch to share. Just about every darn idea I built into this coop I got from the BYC site so to one and all
THANKS!!!!
wall framing and roofing
side vent framing
Vent door attached and a start on the siding
Peak vent framing
trenching in heavy guage welded wire predator fencing
siding around the window and door
finished vent closed
finished vent open
door design
open door
one door for the main run and a second for a segregation area
salvaged antique window
and even a salvaged solid stone block doorstep!!
from the front
I told my wife that I had three objectives when I built it. I wanted it outlast me LOL, I wanted it to look old and blend in with the rest of our farm buildings, and I wanted it to give our birds a good shelter. Now I just have to finish the inside space and set up the two runs.
Thanks again to all for the great ideas on the BYC site
