Update On New Chicks!!

My mom hatched her 2 chicks in the very small pen with the rooster and another hen. I was paniced and received advice from this thread. Just wanted to let you know how it has worked out. Because i live in a rural community and can't let the chickens free range...very short spells in the back yard with me there at all times, and I don't have an out building to put them in....Well, I had to leave her and the babies where they were and pray for the best. On the third day when she decided to bring them down the long plank and intruduce them to the family..they were accepted with inquiring looks but not the first bit of mistreatment. They now are not staying under mama's skirt and still the others simply walk around them. It is such a sweet sight.
