Update on swollen foot!

I have a standard white leghorn pullet that has a swollen foot. Many people said this was bumblefoot so I called up a friend and she said to put honey mixed with vasoline on it then wrap it up and change it about 2-3 times a day. I just want to make sure it is bumblefoot and not something else. It hasn't gotten any bigger its just the same. We have been treating for about 3 days now. Here are two new pictures we took today. Fuzzy pictures sorry..camera wouldn't zoom in that close.

* Pretty sure that with bumblefoot you have to clean it out first, then wrap it. I think there is a core to it, kinda like a boil.

Friend said something in the honey and vasoline supposed to bring the boil or whatever it is up to the top. Then it will eventually pop. And then fill it with bactrisien or something. To be honest I don't have the guts to cut open my own birds foot.

Looks like bumblefoot to me. Looks to be early. Are their roosts smooth and wide? Mine got it from a narrow roost bar.
I have cut the bumble open several times and never had luck with it. So right now I am doing antibiotics, and soaking the foot in pool water (chlorine) and some kind of antibacterial soap, can't remember the name, chlor-something. Then spraying the foot with BlueKote. They are looking improved, this is day 4. I think they have shrunk.
If you are a horse person, instead of blueKote, I have used thrushbuster.

Your friend is not off-base. Honey does tend to draw out the fluids. I've heard that approach a number of times. It should work if it's not too bad. (Doesn't look severe to me). Do check out your other birds' feet and their area for sharp edges.

Right now they don't have a roost. We have yet to build one, but hopefully we are gong to soon. The ducks just moved out of their house(which is the chickens house now). At the moment I'm keeping krispy inside in a dog kennal thing. Poor girl we wrap her foot up and put baby socks on her when she goes outside to keep her bandages from getting dirt inside and they work to.

I'm totally diggin' the booties - you did a great job with the bandaging!

Did she try and pick them off? How long did they stay on?

When I first but just the bandages on she tried and tried and tried! to get them off. But when I put the bootys on she doesn't seem to care. I was expecting her to walk funny but she just walks normal. All I do it put a strip on sports tape around the top and they stay on.
