Hugh effort by everyone involved but a great success for the
fire department, raising nearly $6,000.00

Had some great weather, no rain and very few really cold nights.
So there was a good turnout every weekend.

Brush fire had us scrambling one time. Some of our best monsters
were off fighting fire. But what an outstanding community I really live
in--a few neighbors stepped up, filled in to help us out.

No major prop problems this year. And a few cool designs already in place
for next year.

The money raised will be rolled into updating our equipment. No way to know
how many lives or homes that this Halloween may someday save.

But I am so proud of these fire fighters, of being a part of them. And I'm proud
of this community that goes out of their way to support us.

From the retired (farmer) neighbor that allows us the free use of his field, the
feed store that donates us the corn to plant. The donated snacks from various
neighbors. Even the local Pepsi distributor stepped in this year and donated us
the use of their concession trailer.

It was a great time.

Good for you -- it is wonderful when a community comes together for 'good works' --- congrats to all!
