Update on two of of my assorted bantams from tsc

Y'all told me oegb, but I'ma ask again anyways, also would like a guess on gender as well- They are about 4/5 weeks old now.
The one yall said was wheaten now has a crest coming in so I'm really lost on her, and the other one im thinking is a spangled oegb cockerel.

also mentioning I dont think the crested one is wheaten, she has a white chest and a white back, only wheaten part is her wings.

Yes, the one is a spangled oegb. Not so sure it's a cockerel, though. It needs a while longer to show its colors.

The other is a bit confusing. Maybe some type of Easter egger bantam. Or maybe a Pyncheon bantam, but not sure on that because they are very, very rare and really shouldn't have white legs like that. But hatchery chicks aren't always perfect representations of breeds. I'd give that one time to fully feather out before deciding. It is cute, though.

Historically they had green legs, but I think white legs are common now because they had to cross with spangled OEGBs to keep the breed from going extinct due to a very shallow genetic pool in the few birds that remained. This is a very old American breed of bantam, unlike most other bantam breeds, which were created in Asia or Europe.
