Whats strange about the feathers? The coloration is called Lavender.

The feathers are not flat. The vanes are squished to the shaft. Both on the wings and tail. So it's possibly a generic abnormality? What about the very dark comb? Now I just feel sad for the poor thing.

Oh. Yeah the lavender gene does cause tattered feathers like that pretty occasionally.

Will they always be like that? Even after a moult?
