UPDATE!!! One dead EE chick, baby brahma isnt growing!!!! HELP!

Well, I really thought that Toffee - the ungelating EE - would last, but she died this weekend.

Im so sad, she was a sweet, sweet girl. Shes already buried under the pine tree along with everyone else - Maxi the cat, speedy the hermit crab, and snowball the hampster.

Anyhow - on to Ming, the sick Brahma.

She is doing SO much better - she doesnt make the "screaming chirp" nearly as often, and she can actually poop correctly, most of the time. She just gets allitle on her bum now, usually nothing gets on her. I dont have to clean her hardly ever anymore.

BUT -

She isnt growing properly. Her feathers are coming in great now, but she isnt gaining any bulk. She still looks like a dayold, and shes over a week old. shes half the size of my other girls (and unwanted boys

). I'll try to get pictures on.

What can I do? Is there anything I can do?


PS - Someone suggested giving her polyvisol - would that help any?

It sure wouldn't hurt i'd also try giving her some plain yogurt or scrambled eggs. Im no expert by any means tho. I hope your little ming pulls thru for ya

******UPDATE******


Well, since my original post, I have decided that there is most likely something wrong with my little Mings' crop.


So, i have put her on a regiment of one very small drop of olive oil a day, along with vigorous but gentle massaging on her crop. Im very happy to say she is feeling MUCH better!
