I suspect, however, that using some cream could possibly ( very low likelihood but possibly) have some effect with the dry lesions. Might be worth a try if somebody were to have a tube laying around for themselves. It's used for genital herpes and fever blisters.
The pix virus is not related to herpes, shingles or chciken pox however, so I doubt it will work, other than the fact that Zovirax is an antiviral so it's the only thing I can think of that might work.
The pox lesions can get secondary bacterial infections so it's important to keep an eye out for those, although I don't think this happens often.
