I posted about a month ago about my rooster Romeo that had passed away after an accident with my husband. I just wanted to post an update and let everyone know that all is well between my husband and I, and that I managed to hatch 6 little bantam cochin cuties from his eggs. They all appear to be black like their daddy, but it is too soon to know if any of them are going to be frizzles but I believe about half should be if I remember correctly. It makes me feel better knowing that something of a pet I cared about was able to be passed on - too bad we can't gather dog and cat "hatching eggs" when they pass unexpectedly...

I had a scar Yesterday when the door of the hen house fell on my young D brama neck. Mark said Hey lets us it as a guillateen.
If he would of been the one in panic going to get her seen her little head and how scared she and i was he would not of been so dumb.
Im glad you and your hubby are ok now i am sorry . When i had turkeys as a kid my dad put up some plywood so i could make them a coop . one board fell and had them penned but at an angle . My mom too lazy to pick it up stepped on it killing all 12 . she said she felt bad but probably not as bad as they did . Tammy
