I'm really sorry; wish I could have helped more, but it sounds like this was more serious than you were able to fix by the time you realized something was wrong. It happens to the most experienced of us.
Hi, I can see that you have had a really hard time this last weekend, it looks like her injury was much more serious than expected. Im sorry for your loss and I hope your family can cheer up again very soon.
Unfortunately our chickens do get illness and injury and this is part of our ongoing learning and experience that we get from our chickens.
There are some threads about humanely putting to sleep our pet chickens, and I have this printed out in my emergency file for when the times comes.
We all get faced with this dilemna at some stage.
Please dont get disheartened, we all go through this.

i know you said this a long time ago but you should let her try to heal (if it ever happens again) unless u can tell they are i very large amount of pain. my hen broke her leg late lastnigt or this morning some how and i found out when i went to check on my two hens ( her and another hen)
