*UPDATE*.......... THE BABIES ARE HERE!!!

YAY! I am glad they are hatching... How many do they each get? Or are you going to let them decide?

Well, I separated the two girls and the babies from the rest of the flock. I just put them in a little rabbit hutch inside the coop, because my cousin said that some of his flock were killing his chicks, and I don't want to take that chance. They both seem to be taking care of ALL the babies together, and they're not fighting over them, so I'm just going to let them be.

I had to help one of the babies hatch yesterday. That was very interesting to say the least. I literally had to peel the shell, and the skin, off of the membrane that the chick was in, then I just put it back in with the girls and one of them took the membrane off (and ate it

).
I didn't want to do it myself for fear of really hurting the baby, so I just figured she'd know what to do with it. LOL! But it all worked out great in the end. 100% hatch, considering that the two I suspected weren't fertile, actually weren't. I'll post pics of all of them when I go back out. I forgot to take my camera out this morning.
