I am in the same boat right now. I have 6 RIR's and all have different size combs and none are showing any big wattles at 9 weeks old. I bought them all as pullets so hoping they are true to that but 1 of them does have a slightly larger comb and starting to see wattles coming in. Is this normal for pullets or could I be seeing a roo in the mix? None of them have bright red at all. Just maybe a little pinkish? The tail feathers are what confuses me as they all are not showing those rounded off tail feathers they say to look for in hens...lol All of them just seems to have a mix of all kinds of feathers on the tails...
