I know one of the doses I have seen from @casportpony was a higher dose but for less days. I don't understand the conversion rates all that well and terrified I'll give too much.

All I know is from what I read in the veterinary books. All of my books say the dose is 100 mg/kg, which means 45.45 mg per pound. All injectable penicillin I have seen is 300 IU per ml, which equals ~300 mg per one ml.I know one of the doses I have seen from @casportpony was a higher dose but for less days. I haven't used it before, so I don't really know.Maybe since your seeing improvement you just keep it up like you are just longer days since your not giving the larger dose.
I hope @casportpony comes and gives her opinion I really don't know.
So the videos look like my duck does now. Did the pen shots work? I've soaked and added vitamins and I have pen in the fridge now, but I'm terrified to try to give her a shot. But if it works I'll do it.Update... I think the swelling has gone down a little but there's still a big knot. The redness and heat is gone and she is no longer walking with a limp at all. She's been getting .8ml of penicillin every day since Tuesday so she has had 6 doses so far. Some things I have read say .5 ml for a duck up to 1.5 ml for a turkey. I went with .8 because I'm scared of the provocaine being too much for her. I have also read she should have 4-6 doses. She obviously still needs penicillin, but I'm not sure how many more (or if I can increase her dosage) I should give her. I don't want to cause other problems down the road. Any suggestions?

Oh I'm so sorryThey seemed to help a little. After a week of shots, I stopped them and decided to let nature take its course. She got better on her own and then it happened again. She passed away last week. I'm sorry I didn't respond. I didn't get a notification through email like I normally do. How's your duck?
