Updated: Cheap chick hoop walk??

We have decided that we are going to build a permanent coop with and movable run. They will be out during the day in the run and back to the coop at night. We are thinking (and welcome critical feedback) that we would connect the run with something like a hoop tunnel. But that looks time consuming to mover once a week.

I'm looking for any suggestions on a way to connect the door of the coop to where ever we move the run to.

If you use portable electric netting you can maneuver it around so they take a right turn into the el netting for awhile, then take a left turn into the netting, and the next time go straight out. There will be a small area that gets trampled down because it is always being walked on, but you'd get that anyway.

I was going to recommend electric poultry netting as well. The ends of electric netting do not need to be connected to create a circuit, so you can start one end at one side of the coop door and have the other end on the other side of the door and still have the fence electrified. That said, some netting doesn't require electrification to effectively keep poultry contained, but it is recommended if you need to keep land predators out.

I went with netting 7' x 100'. It came with U shaped spikes to place, but I'm going to build 2 squares out of PVC and attach the netting to that. I will attach one to the coop door, and the other to the run. once in the run, I will close the door to the "walk way".

I'm hoping that I can just stretch it out without having to use a lot of the U shaped spikes. It will make for an easier move because I plan on moving the run every week to give them new grass and allow the former spot to re.... coop.

Issues to over come:

- It will be 100'. I won't use that always. So 2 thoughts that I would like to get feedback on. I'm considering making this 100' into 4 cut sections of 25' to allow the run to be closer to the coop too. Or should I make them even smaller or another method entirely?

- The run(thinking "A" frame with 1/4" metal mesh).. I plan on covering half of it to give them shade...etc. Should I put places for them to roost? Maybe some nests?

Roosts and nesting boxes would be a good idea, especially if it will be closed off from the coop during the day.
