So I went back and did some edits based on feedback. I tried to make it more wood efficient, based on the idea that plywood sheets come in 4x8ft dimensions. More room under the coop itself, poop shelf, higher roosts, more ventilation. (live in texas, but backyard is entirely shaded)
I think I will end up with 8-9 chickens max. Let me know any additional thoughts or ideas before we build in the next week or two!

Thanks :)

Do you need that many nesting boxes? I'd think 2-3 would be sufficient for 8-9 chickens. (I'm only focused on that as I'm trying to redesign mine to use some of the wasted nesting boxes.)

Just what I was going to say. 1 nestbox serves 3-5 hens so you only need 2, or maybe 3.

You also only need 1 linear foot of perch per hen so you don't need to take up so much floor space with that roosting ladder. 1, L-shaped perch above the nest boxes but far enough below that lovely ventilation so that they're out of the wind when they're sitting on the roost will be enough. :)
