UPDATED: Foul smell coming from 9 week old, no discharge from nose. Still need help please!

I just stumbled across this thread while looking for answers for my own 8 week old pullet. Last night I noticed she had the same smell you describe. No other symptoms. The only reason I noticed it was because she is the most friendly and rides on top of the box or my shoulder when I transport the flock back inside for the night. I felt her crop, which was super hard and became even more concerned. The new chicken owner in me thought maybe she swallowed a rock! It had emptied by this morning so I am no longer concerned. The funky breath is still there though. How is your hen doing? Did the smell ever go away?
