"Updated" Need Help. Incubating Questions...Broody left nest...

Que is staying on the nest of eggs and chick. I don't have any idea how many eggs have hatched.
If I carefully lift her up to see how the 1st chickling is doing, will I cause Que to leave the nest or if I set her back on it will she stay on it.
I hear peeping so I know the chick is there, just not how it's doing.
Could someone Please help me with this one?

We have 2 Silkie chicks under Que. 1 is a yellowish color and the other is grey color with yellow on it's chest and belly.
It must have hatched yesterday, it's feathers are dry. Hoping to have another hatch today, but Que is staying on the nest at least.
It would be great if 1 chick was hatched each day til all 12 are hatched.
Will update tomorrow.

Wow,

now our Sultan hen laid an egg, we're hoping our Sultan roo fertilized it. Melody is so proud of herself.
I put the egg under our cochin the 'egg-Que-bator' she has most likely 11 eggs prepping for hatch. Good thing the eggs are of all small/bantam birds. She is such a sweet bird to help hatch all these eggs. If our Black-tail Buff Jap Bantam starts laying and will stay on the nest I can bring Melody's egg back in with her.
Hopefully we soon have 12 new chicks, I'm being as patient as I can about this...

Can Someone Please Help Me With This.
Questions on 1st page post.

can you put a thermometer and hyrgrometer under there so you can get an idea of what the conditions are? I wish I was more knowledgeable about this but I have NO clue,
Good luck, and keep us posted!

I'm new at hatching eggs. Didn't expect my broody to leave the nest.

I don't even know if the eggs have developing chicks. Mallary told me a bit ago she wasn't sure if they were fertile.

How do you candle an egg without jostling the possible chick around?

If there are chicks in the eggs should I get my hospital cage set up and transfer the make-shift nest in there with the lamp above the eggs?

I'm really lost with this

, Mallary lost 2 of her Mille Fleur in her brooder today. They seem to be very delicate chicks.

Should I keep trying to hatch these eggs, or as my mother says 'Let Nature Take It's Course'?

They're not her special chickens (the sultans in the sunroom pen are hers) and she doesn't really give a care if they survive.

I take care of all the chickens, and I care if they survive, that's why I'm asking for help with this...
