My coop will only hold a few silkie bantams so I need to cut back and rehome some chicks. I know they are young but can you tell if any of them look more like pullets or roos? Thank you so much for your help! I bought them from Ideal and TS 3/10/10.

silkies can be really hard, sometimes you have to wait it out... till it lays or crows

Also posting where you're from if you would like to find them a home with a BYC member could help out as well

Can't help with the sexes on those either........at all-sorry

Hatchery silkies are a tough call. I've heard if you rub the comb, females have a smooth one and males you can feel the ridges. Don't know how true it is, as I've never tried it, but maybe someone who raises silkies could confirm.

p.s. you might want to put silkies in your title to draw those folks in to help.

Thanks for the help! I edited my title and put my location. I also have 5 white chicks (two were supposed to be buff but I can't tell the difference they all look white) and 3 black chicks but I did not want to impose on anyone by asking members to look through so many photos.

Its silkies, I doubt you can really ever post too many pics of those. Although it might make a few of us jealous. Maybe a chicken loving friend has some spare coop space they could let you use till you are for sure on genders in exchange for some eggs in the future?
