The babies have all gone through their final molt, and I have to say I'm surprised. Two of the babies I thought were the products of my Pekin and Black Swedish, have gotten some odd color/patterns to their feathers. Sparrow has some weird pattern on her wing feathers I have never seen before, and the drake, Wonder, has almost blue/grey feathers and a super green head and tail feathers. It's odd. What do you guys think?

Well the only options for parents would be my black Swedish for the dad, and either my Pekin hen or my Saxony hen. I thought they were all Pekin eggs, as my Saxonies eggs didnt hatch, but there's always a chance... lol

and thanks Miss Lydia.

From what I have read here, the black swedish carry the Blue gene which would give you those gorgeous grey feathers...and the white feathers on Sparrow wing tips are apparently the "tell tale" of a "true swedish...as the outter 3 flight feathers are supposed to be white...They are magnificent though! I am very much in love! And the orange bills! Soooo sweet! Be proud of those babies!

Featheredfashions,
Thank you!

Interesting to know.

Thanks for the info. I always wondered why Sparrow had that weird pattern on those feathers, as I had never seen it before. I also wondered if the blue could be some recessive trait. I was very happy with the way they turned out. It's funny because several of them have that real black/olive speckling in their bill, another thing I thought was interesting.

Thanks again!
