Updated Pics on 11 week old chicks :)

She would have to be (unless I'm wrong and he's not double barred). It's odd that she has that red patch on her shoulder, that's normally a male specific coloration.

I know it was wild..she was mounted so she was "malelike" female?

She never crowed and was mounted. We did not see her lay that is the only odd thing. But the only other female my daughter mentioned that we had that I forgot about was cashew, she was a cuckoo silkie mix. She was very small though, and all of the eggs were pretty good in size.

It may not matter but these are what the eggs looked like that we hatched from. We only had two left though.

Any other opinions? Should I take a different kind of picture?

I won't give up on Pepper the darker one being a pullet..but Salty I've accepted is probably 95 percent a roo...😞

I think they're both cockerels. I'm basing it off of their combs and wattles. Male specific feathering should start coming in within a few weeks, so that will probably be what decides it for certain.

These young ones both appear to have five toes. If the father didn't have five toes then the Silkie is very likely to be the mother. If the father did have five toes, then you're back to square one as far as parentage goes.
