They are not a true wyandotte. This is a first generation cross that developed the crele pattern.I only have 2 males and will take more breeding to get something that will breed true. There are Crele Wyandote's in Europe and Australia so there is such a thing but it will take much more breeding to get a true one.

What is the cross? Since you posted this I have looked into Crele colored fowl and I have seen many Crele colored birds like Games and OEG bantams and such, very pretty. A LONG Long time ago my aunt got a red barred rooster from a RIR and a Domnique cross. He was a gorgeous oddball but im sure thats not what usually happens. This is i interesting I want to learn more.

Actually that's the sad part.I just hatched some mixed egg's from my layer pen to see what I would get and this is one the results. The roo's had to be either Partridge Rock,Buff Orpington,RIR, or SLW.If the SLW is not the father then the mother has to be a Wyandotte to get the rose comb so the candidates are White,SL,Columbian, or BLR.Believe me I wish I knew but I'm hoping to one day cross him back to a Barred Rock female and thry to keep the barred pattern.

Is there any possibility this could be a partridge rock/BLRW cross? It sure looks like that combination--partridge barring and a lot of the BLRW coloring? Just a guess?
