So I've noticed after a few days that my girl Blue seems to be hunch-backed on her right side. She's walking and jumping/flying okay. The hunched area feels hard like bone, and the skin looks normal color. This could possibly have been there before, bc I've been examining her extra close since her attack, maybe I just noticed it. I'm not sure.
I wouldn't be too concerned b/c she still moves around the house, and eats/drinks. But I have noticed that she walks for a bit, then stops, closes her eyes, and sleeps standing up. She does this all day. I don't know if this is pain related, stress related, or what. She just isn't as active as her usual self. However, I can imagine that she is still sore, and stressed from her near death encounter with the hawk.
So I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the raised area under her right wing on her back? And is she sleeping a lot b/c she's in pain, and if she will ever not be in pain? It has only been 4 days since her attack. I hope she didn't break a rib or something. Her head seems to be leaning toward to right side too, and her chest is puffed on the opposite side.
She is still getting a tapered dose of Pred, and baytril for a more days.
I'm assuming I should be giving her much more time to recover before she looks and acts like herself, if she ever will. I will post pics next.
