Updated ** The Hen Hilton - Finished!

I'm new at raising chickens. We are expecting our babies from Ideal next week. We started on the new chicken coop last week and thought I'd share some photos:

I'll update as we get more accomplished. We bought a door yesterday and finishing the siding tonight.

WOW! It's wonderful!!! I love the addition to the roof. Very nice!

It's not moving - in between the other buildings is where it's going to stay. It's hot here in Texas and this spot will have plenty of shade.

We used the picture of the Chick-N-Barn as an inspiration for the roof. And, of course, made it much bigger.

Dh wanted the nest boxes off the back, and my father-in-law designed it all.

Can't wait to show a finished picture, but it may take a few weeks.

We got a lot accomplished this weekend. Here's a new photo:

We got all the siding and most of the trim work done. We still need to finish the roof and do lots of painting. My FIL is making a little door for the chicken door and the ramp. We still have a lot of small stuff to finish.

Then on to building the run.

Can't wait to show picture of the finished coop.
