We asked the helpful folks at TSC if they had any idea what breed these were. They're reply was "They're bantams".

I know the pics could be better, but I sure would appreciate some help identifying what breeds we picked up

The last pic has a couple of pullets we picked up too.

Thanks! We were guessing mille fluers or brahmas. I guessed right on the sebrights. Never saw a buff japanese before - gonna go look at some pics

I don't understand the sexlink thing. Think I'll search the forums.

Cool! We saw some mille fluers at a poultry show this weekend. Jacob was kind of hoping we had some. He's gonna be thrilled!

The mille fluer d'uccles are awesome pets, I dont think I have ever seen a mean one yet.

We try to hold all of the birds when we go out. I'm so glad winter's over so we can sit outside and watch the chicken show. We just started raising chickens late last summer thanks to 4H so I still find them quite entertaining

My kids have raised market birds to for a couple of years now so we're not new to chickens but just lacking in education because the market birds are only around for a few months. My youngest son Jacob really got interested in breed birds last year so we decided to go for it. I never new how fun they are (and how funny they can be). Now if we could just get a house out in the boonies so we could have goats and sheep I would be happy as a clam. Guess the chickens will do for now ....

Now that the birds have had a chance to grow a bit I still have a couple that I'm not sure of (as well as some updates):

I'm guessing this feisty little chicken is a cockerel? Still not sure of the breed. He's got the black and gold coloring of the Sebrights but the feathers are not not the same design.

And my cute little Mille Fleurs .... one has more of a beard than the other. Do I have a cockerel and a pullet?

And a little mystery (Japanese?):
