**UPDATED WITH PICS OF CHICKS**Will this coop work??

Post pictures of the chicks?

If they are fully feathered out, and you watch them carefully, then you could put them in that. However, if not fully feathered, I'd wait a bit before moving them on to their coop.

Otherwise, your chickens will be

, and that's not a good thing.

And finally they have to be in there because these ladies and gentlman wont let them in the large coop.

Notice the I dare you to enter look in there eyes:p

I would say that yes, you could put them outside already, in a mild climate. I put my 4 chicks outside much younger than that and they do just fine, just make sure they can stay out of wind or drafts

Yes - They are ready but I would add hardware cloth to that hutch. I think a coon would stick its paw through that 1" wire and pull your chicks through parts at a time. (makes me shiver thinking about it).

I would also add flooring so your chicks aren't walking on wire all the time. The poo is going to stick to the wire anyway and then they'll be walking in it.

Some silkies don't like to roost but like to sleep huddled in the bedding.

Thanks for sharing your sweeties.

I will be working on the set but I did add flooring for them today. I'm really hoping:fl my older chicks who have been really nosey neighbors will let them into the big coop SOON:confused:

Um, just to remind you, in the last picture that you posted the EE (?) on the far right, looks like a roo.

ours refused to come inside at about that age. they used to go into the under-construction coop during the day while i finished the top half and after a few days they stopped letting me put them back in the house at night. they were fine too.
