Oh Noooo I hope no Roo!!The black chick might be a Silver Laced Wyandotte and possibly a male. Pictures in another 2-3 weeks should give more concrete answers.
That one is Such a sweet affectionate quiet one!!
Oh Noooo I hope no Roo!!
Lord I'm recovering from my golden seabright Roo attack last Sunday. You will definitely have to wait a while to tell with that one. Wyandottes are notorious for getting color early in their combs. The big tell will be if there is significant wattle development in the next 4 or so weeks and when male specific feathering comes in around 12-15 weeks or so. I hope it's a pullet for you!
Sliced me up like Freddy KrugerLord I'm recovering from my golden seabright Roo attack last Sunday.![]()
I am trying some alternative methods before rehoming. I lost Mt OESD to a hawk and he is young I believe he has the right idea but too young to realize who is the threat.Well it sounds like you need a new rooster anyways then. Any rooster that comes after me immediately gets put on the schedule for the soonest day I can butcher him.
Oh Noooo I hope no Roo!!
