Why do people post a topic- asking questions, then when they comeback with an update a week or two later they start a new thread??????????

Why not just go back to the orgininal thread and post the update on there?

For me--- if I did not see the orginal post..... then I do not know the back ground OR even if I read the orginal thread then I need to go find it again if I don't remember all the details.

IS IT that hard for the original poster to scoll down and find the topic they started!

In really active forums it can be. However, you can get a list of all the topics you have created pretty easily.
My pet peeve is when people post updates by editing their message rather than adding a new post to the end. In a very few threads it seems to be done well, with the topic changed to indicate new information on post #1.

But as someone following a thread, I don't go back and re-read the pages--I start from the posts I haven't read.

The one thing I have issues with is when people post What Gender Is This? And then they never update! LoL I am always DYING of curiosity if I guessed correctly or not! So for those who have What Gender? posts, please update when you find out for sure!
