lol i live in the UK, wales, we get the odd rat nearby, but never known of any foxes in the area ever, but we do lock the chickens up everynight just in case! we do have a sparrowhawk which flies over the area, but has done for a few years, but only ever had small starling birds, but i am not worried about the sparrowhawk. not sure what else we could expect by us - we have an outdoor cat and he has killed one of 2 rats, so he keeps them at bay!

God kitty to catch that nasty rat! My grandfather was Welsh, born in Caernarvon. It's a beautiful country - with the added bonus that there are no predators!

here is the new run, it might not look like the hilton hotel, but we are happy with it

the chickens are locked away every night and i also bring in the water and pellet feeder inside our house, so not to attract any rats. We just want to get some paving slabs to put around the outside of the run and also some paving slabs inside the run with some logs.

would welcome any feedback, good or bad! many thanks

i have no idea what the breed of the chickens are, so if anyone does know, i would be grateful to know what they are - no names for them yet either!

Fantastic! Nicely done, and they look happy! The second picture, I'm not sure about the pale one. In the third picture I would have said easter eggers, but it looks as though they've got pale legs so that wouldn't be right. They sure look healthy - how old are they?

thanks - i have just put some freshly cut logs in the run which someone kindly donated so i have just put them in - its a nice big run - to be honest i have no idea how old the chickens are, though i think the lady said the lighter coloured one started laying about 8 weeks ago but i am not sure about the other 2. just updating my post as i have just found out the 2 other chickens who are similar are roughly 17 months old.
