Hi everyone, I have a question regarding my little Cochin’s beak. As you can see in the pictures, her upper beak appears brittle, flaky, and is now beginning to curve upward a bit. Her name is Bootsie, she is nearly 11 years old and appears healthy outside of this. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to help her out?

It's probably a latent genetic disorder. It might be possible to trim her beak back, but be careful not to trim or cut into the "quick." There are sensitive nerve endings in the 'quick' and it would be painful and most likely bleed.

If you cant trim back the beak, the concern is how she will eat and survive.
You can provide a deep bowl containing a wet mash of layer feed for her to eat. That way her beak wont touch the bottom of the bowl causing pain when she eats.
Make the mash watery because the feed soaks up alot of water and will eventually dry out. Change out the watery gruel each day to keep it fresh for her to eat.

Dog nail clippers and a file can be handy to trim carefully. Flour or corn starch can be used to help stop bleeding if that occurs, but I would just carefully try to not trim too much. There are some ways to repair a damaged beak using an empty tea bag cut into small pieces to superglue onto the beak for support. Is her beak split up to the nostrils? Could you get a clearer picture? Here is some reading about trimming and repairs:

Clearer photos of her beak may be helpful.

Good suggestions from everyone. The only thing I would add is I would be inclined to rub a small amount of Vitamin E oil onto the beak once a week to help with the brittleness.

Here are more pictures, hopefully helps.

Poor Girl!
I don't think I would try to trim it. Offer her wet feed and watch to see that she's able to drink ok.
Not sure what's happening to her beak, could she have injured it?
Her face looks very dry too, I would put a little oil on her face comb and wattles too.
