I'm in England. We've just got 6 ex-battery chickens today. one has an upright stance & bad gait when walking & may have some stomach swelling. Any ideas please. Others OK.

    Thanks for reading.

Could possibly be eggbound? When you say stomach, where exactly are you meaning? I would take her inside and give her a warm bath, sometime that helps. Keep her in a quiet place for the night and maybe try the bath again in the morning if it didn't help the first time. Is she eating and drinking?

Eggbound was the first thing that came to my mind, too. I'm no expert, though, it's just a guess on my part from what you wrote.

Eggbound was first thought as well, but Highlander has a bunch of them, so I hollered for her help.

I've never had an eggbound hen- and now I am knocking on wood.
