upset rooster

My rooster has settled down so has his girls----but now new problem found an egg one has broken and one of them ate it----they have grit, shells have to watch real close now.

Sometimes our chickens will do that as well. I think that means they aren't getting enough protein, or their is a vicious hen. Welcome btw

They act like they are bored they have a run and I through out scraps for them---thinking about hanging a head of cabbage in their coop to pick at also----worked for my chickens years ago.
