upside down for almost 5 days

So today is day 4 and a half and I just got done candling my eggs when I realized that I accidentally put an egg in with the round part down. Even when I looked at the egg again I still thought that the other end was more pointed but the air sac is telling me I'm wrong. When I looked at the egg it was very apparent that it was fertile so I got a little worried. I have since turn the egg with the air side up and put it back into the incubator. I was just wondering if anybody else has accidentally done this and if it hurt the chick or not.

OOOh. Hope you get a good answer on this one. I try to take the approach that mama hen doesn't check to see which end is up, as a matter of fact neither end is up when mama hatches so hopefully it is early on and it won't be a problem for you.

thanks I was actually happy that I candled them tonight instead of waiting till day 7 just because I found that one and was hoping it wasn't too late for it

I was also able to see that I have 18 babies so far out of 44 eggs. all the other are still too dark to see through.
