OK, so we made it home around 5 and I called off work for today. There was no way I would have been able to function and keep people safe today. Got the kids up and around for school and went to sleep. Woke up to it pouring down rain...
Got Gretchen on her way home around noon and my porcelain d'Uccles escaped the brooder and are running around the shop. Little turds!
Now onto the weekend! What a
GREAT time we had!
Nat welcomed up with huge hugs when we got there and gave us a great place to camp, right next to the fire. Moved Nat's new girls into their new homes and got everyone else unloaded and set up.
Saturday night was one for the memory banks! Poor Mark never knew what hit him being around Bob and Jeremy!
At least now he is inducted into their little "club"! Had a wonderful time sitting around the campfire laughing and joking about everything. Got to meet a lot of Nat's amazing family, who welcomed us all with open arms!
Sunday was gorgeous! Sun was shining and it was warmer than Saturday. Bob cooked us a great breakfast and Kristen brought some awesome bread! Then we were off and running for NY Chickenstock 2010!
It was great meeting everyone from the forum that I hadn't met before and seeing everyone again that I had!
Nat and Mark - THANK YOU so very much for hosting us! We had an awesome weekend! Nat, you are an awesome cook and everything tasted so good. Mark, thanks for putting up with all of us crazies! We knew we could convert you to the dark side! Love you both!
