UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

OK...I will make a list and if there is enought interest I will set a batch in time to bring to stock. Now that I have said that watch these hens will lay late...as if 25 weeks is not late enough!!!

I'll know in a few days if any of my shipped eggs will develop, but it's been next to impossible to find decent interesting local hatching eggs around here. Everyone seems to have RIR and I have enough of those. I've got a great incubator but shipped eggs /grumble..

I had not thought of that....but they would be untestested as far as hatchability because i would not have time to hatch any myself.

well you cant help thAT! I will have a ton of eggs when Chickenstock hits! hopefully getting upwards of 30 a day! OE's-EE's-white orps-and mixed

Ooooh, I've been thinking about OE's, and how dark are wellsummer eggs? I may have to come back with eggs to load the bator with, hee hee. It's sitting here empty cuz I'm waiting for something to start laying. Oh, and if anyone has any turners they want to sell, let me know. I still need 2 turners for in the Bob-o-bator.

I'm from Tioga County 5 hours away--is it worth is to convince my family to drive me there??? will there be seramas there to buy???
