UPSTATE NY chickenstock OCT 3rd Sunday!! -The aftermath and hatching

So I have these roosters... (go figure) that need to be rehomed and I mean awesome quality roosters from bloodlines like Foley's and Sterling Farms for Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and 3 awesome Olive Egger roos from Natalies line and I really need to rehome them. I really don't want to eat them, or have them eaten by someone else if possible. None of them are mean, all very mellow, not cuddly but definately not problem birds. Does anyone have any interest in them?

Hi Nat! You haven't added me to the camping list (well not as a positive anyway) or added the food I am bringing. Did Bob's comment shy you away from accepting my offer?

Hope not!

Nat, So loved meeting you this past weekend!!!!
Looking VERY possible hubby & I will make the trip up for a long weekend....and stay on Lake Flower by Casa...our favorite place to eat also!
Folks, I live in Staten island and made it home from Saranac Lake (10 minutes from Nat's house) in 5 hours this past Friday. Stopped 1 time for a rest and flew the rest of the way. Beautiful ride..........

Loved all her cutie pies and she even gave me 2 peeps and a couple of eggs to take home for live "souvineers".

Love yah Mags!!! Thank you again for my Purse! haha-hope the live eggs hatch for you-those will be black silkies but they each carry the laveneder gene-so If you get very lucky and they both hatch.and get of each sex.....then mate them back to eachother ...(you have split lav silkies)- you have a 50% chance of getting lavender babies!! 100% pure ones:) enjoy! I hope to see you at the Chickenstock!!!!

You know as soon as ya do that someone will want them! Have you tried your local 4H club to see if there are any kids interested in working with the breed? Seems a shame to eat the good stuff, esp when some of the 4H birds are just really bad hatchery stuff, or at least, thats the way it is around here!

My Split Silkies from the Chickenstock are doing great! I think both of my Lavs I got are Roos, so I hope both of yours are pullets!

Oddly enough, I have a Roo shortage here, go figure. Or at least an adult Roo shortage, I lost my White Silkie Roo and my Black Ameracauna Roo. I have tons of Jr birds and I'm sure there are plenty of Roos in those, just nothing old enough to do me any sort of good.

I need to build a huge grow out pen I think, and I'm sure thats going to go over like a ton of bricks with my husband!

I'm thinking of coming, does anyone in the Rochester area (or along the way to Nats) want to car pool/share hotel?

Waiting on the heating elements for our new bator to come, then we are going to test it and

we will have babies to bring along with us! I hope we do, hate coming with nothing. Hopefully we will have some eggs for the auction, too Nat!
