The actual "deed" sucks but then once thats done-I have another "job" to do with it. I actually ate chicken for dinner tonight from the 4 roos I provessed the other night-they had been marinating in BBQ sauce for 3 days and tasty for sure. I dont know what it is but I dont get attached to my roos-not really but God forbid something go wrong with one of my hens and Im a flipping mess! I could NEVER process one of my girls-I dont know if I could really cull either as I have never culled a hen-oly chicks with problems:-( It's even easier when the roos arent yours-no emotions or attachments. OOOh am I sick???

ITS BROKE!!!! DH spent over an hour trying to get the photos off of the camera and couldnt download them:-( this stinks! They were great photos of my set-up before and after-of course victims identity has been concealed until after all is complete

Yes Nat, very sick. Haha! But since it's easier to do other peoples birds you can come visit and help with my ducks. I have 6 left that need processed, just bring that snazzy plucker. I soooo need to build one.

ohhh I'm jealous. I wanted to try raising some this year but some how my breeding projects too over. Next year for sure! How are your turkey's?

Dont be jealous I have no idea what Im doing or where Im going to put hem but it was too good of an idea to pass up!! turkeys are great except they are bullies! They have beaten up alot of my silkies and killed my favorite spalsh orp pullet today! They are getting their own pen this weekend if I have to make it myself-they came an inch away from being processed today thats for sure!!!!
