Hello All.
I am new here. I am new to chickens. I live in a wonderful city (Cleveland OHIO) that is hip enough to allow urban farming!!
I got my 4 Golden Buff chicks on March 20th, they were about 5-7 days old.
A week later I went and got 2 more (nobody told me chicks were addicting!) what I thought were Barren Plymouth Rocks, but are probably Dominique's (their combs are not yet identifiable to me but look much different then the Buffs).
I actually got my first mini egg this morning. Crazy huh? 15 weeks. BUT one of the golden Buffs named Peep was always a week ahead in feather growth, so maybe she was a bit older. So she would be right about 16 weeks. As far as I know hey are all hens, which they better be because I am not allowed to have roo's and I couldn't bear to part with any of them They are all very sweet and tolerate me holding and loving since day 1.
I am excited to learn along and from you all!!
