(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes. My grandparents had a 500 acre farm with mostly cows. We had chickens for the eggs and meat, but I never bonded with them. They scared me. Ha! At the start of the pandemic, we did what so many others did and went back to our pioneering roots. We started a garden, made our own jelly, and built a coop for 4 chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 4 hens, 4 ducks, and 1 drake.
(3) What breeds do you have?
They are wonderful pets. I thought that I wanted them for eggs, but now I just love them for how cute and funny they are.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I work full time and am in law school, so I don’t have time for hobbies. Ha!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My girlfriend and I live in a house built in 1864 in a historic almost zero lot line neighborhood.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

- Rouen Drake – Big Freedia
- Rouen/Khaki Duck – RuPaul – she is adopted from a “catch your own” farm of mixed birds
- 3 newly adopted ducks that were advertised as Hybrid 300s but look more like Khaki Campbells – The Pointer Sisters
- Bantam silky – Blitzen
- Standard Ameraucana – Easter Bunny (EB)
- Bantam (dwarf) Easter Egger – Kiki Ginsburg
- Bantam (dwarf) Easter Egger – Leia Skywalker
