Urban flock this time

10 years ago I had chickens in rural Iowa on 5 acres. I really enjoyed it. Life changes took me off rural land to the city of Des Moines. My husband, 2 kids & I live in a 100 year old house just 40 blocks from downtown.
Last weekend we got four chicks. The kids & even hubby are excited about this endeavor. We got a Lavender Orpington named Lady Gray, an Americauna named Venti and two what I thought were Marans named Becky & Baby. Now after some research I think they are Barnevelders.
We don't have any other furry pets, but we have fish.
I came upon this group while researching and thought it would be good to join. Hello everyone!
