:hit In about 2 hours i will be helping a friend with a large hen flock infested with lice, mites, overgrown hen spurs, bumblefoot, and overall animal neglect.

As this was short notice i do not have most material access!!
I am a teen not a pro!! although ive researched and owned chickens before i have never delt with a case like this.

I have dawn dish and epsom salt unscented. I have a clean blade & flour.
I do not have  any antibacterial spray to use on bumblefoot or wounds.

Is there anything i can use or buy at a grocery that can act as antibacterial or any helpful materials???

THANK YOU!

Slow down.
Take care of the mites and lice first.
Doing to much right off the bat could cause undo stress.
Then assess any other needs, take some photos of the afflictions.

Have you been around these birds before?
Will you be around to follow up?

I think most antibiotic ointments. Neosporin, aquaphor.

Just NO pain killer/anesthetic.
Neosporin would be fine.
The pain reliever aspect has been debunked, but no need for it.

Good info on the pain reliever. Thanks.

Hibiclens, available at WalMart and pharmacies for is chlorhexidene and is rinsed with water. Hospitals use it for surgery preparation. Betadine (povidone iodine) 10% is also good and sold at Walmart (Equate first aid wound antiseptic) and feed stores. 2x2 gauze pads and vet wrap or self-adhesive bandage would be good to use. Dog nail clippers can trim overgrown spurs.

Permethrin garden dust or horse spray is found in feed stores and treats lice or mites usually with 2 treatments 7 days apart. Bedding should be changed.

I had checked them a month before and couldnt reach them again till now. I can follow up but as of right now its hard for me to find transportation.
I have and will use neosporin.
I havent done much yet just soaked a few in epsom/dawn dish
Then blowdried with stress breaks.
